It is sad that most people who claim to believe in the Son of God, Jesus, base their beliefs on miracles, signs, and wonders. For many, miracles define faith in Jesus, and only where miracles happen do they see the presence of the Jesus they believe in. Not surprisingly, these miracles are meant to bring them personal comfort, in terms of wealth, health, and social welfare, but most importantly, they are meant to massage their ego.
Miracles they believe, show them that the Almighty Creator supports or resides in their church, is their particular benefactor, and often even their benevolent dispenser waiting only for a time of their choosing to actualize personal selfish wishes for them. They are often not backward in piously testifying to the miracles in their lives, which they believe uniquely identifies them as favored, much like the hypocritical Pharisees described in the Bible who beat their chest while congratulating themselves that they are not as sinful as those around them. Is it any surprise that those amongst them who are capable of performing these so-called miracles are regarded as “men of god” or “spiritual fathers”? They conveniently forget that the Lord, Jesus clearly warned us that we have only One Father, God, and must not call any other father in the spiritual sense.
In pursuing a cult of miracles, many of these churches forget the foundation of the Christian faith, which is to recognize and live according to the Truth that Christ brought; in essence, to live in the Will of His Father. This is the primary reason why Christ came to earth and accepted to lay down His Life. This is why at the point of going to His death He stated in John 18:37 ‘For this purpose I was born and for this purpose, I came into the world – to bear witness to the Truth. Everyone who is of the Truth listens to my voice.’
It would have been pardonable if what these people achieve are truly miracles. But that cannot be so for the simple reason that all true miracles lead to God and are granted for our spiritual help and not to direct us away from God towards material things. The miracles that dominate these groups are, however, aimed at directing people towards the specific churches or cults, which thereby grow rapidly in numbers and wealth, entrenching them further in material pursuits and pre-occupations.
In all the miracles of the Lord Jesus, whether it is in raising the dead or in healing the sick we see a demonstration of Divine Love aimed at awakening the spirits of the individuals and onlookers to the consciousness of God and connecting and directing them to the Truth. This is not the case in the present era, even if the followers of the various so-called spiritual fathers and prophets think otherwise.
Just observe the many claims of miracles in the flourishing Christian churches. They do not glorify God but benefit only the churches. The frequency and number of so-called miracles are directly related to the size and wealth of the church, its membership, and the influence of its pastors and overseers.
Let me be clear that this is not a condemnation of any Christian church. Many edifying churches exist that offer human spirits help in their spiritual striving. Indeed, these genuine Churches also suffer from the activity of the worldly wise, prosperity, and miracle-peddling churches. A true church focuses on deepening spiritual knowledge, grounding human beings in the word of Truth, and helping Christians to remain alert to the demands of God’s Will. Not on offering illusions in place of miracles.
If you offer healing, wealth, pregnancy or marriage, and all sorts of material comfort as miracles, what are you doing better than science and technology? What are you doing better than the scientists and doctors who do not believe in God or than magicians and illusionists who draw from darker regions? How many pastors have healed more sicknesses than doctors in hospitals or given more babies to barren women than IVF, yet the gullible believe these people are special?
Because these leaders depend more on the intellect than on spiritual intuitive movement, the upbuilding in these churches is directed mostly toward earthly influences. Consequently, a lot of what they do that is good fails to manifest or be seen as such, because it has an unnatural effect. The performing of miracles falls into the good deeds that now appear in wrong forms. This is a sign of the end times when we are told that there will be many false prophets and that people will be lovers of their own selves.
The pernicious doctrine of prosperity and miracles represents the scourge of our time, every day taking a toll on unwary human spirits seeking to find the Truth. Much like highwaymen on the first stretch of the road to the Truth who steal people away from the path that leads to God. They mislead and bind unwary human spirits, and every human spirit that is not spiritually indolent or dead must come out of these worldly versions of Christianity. It is instructive that the scriptures, the Bible most of us hold to, warn seriously against the place of miracles in the end time.
The Revelation to John tells us clearly that at this time the beast, the anti-Christ, will mislead people, those who are heading to perdition, by performing many miracles. This is the beast with Man’s number, a number that will be branded on all its followers, a number that ensures only material benefits, for John tells us that without this number it will be difficult to make material progress. Do not expect to see 666 branded on people’s foreheads or right hands. The brand is manifest in their thoughts and activity – on the forehead, the seat of the intellect, and on the right hand, the symbol of their activity. If any organization, church, or person leads you on a path that enthrones materiality, you are following the path of the beast.
Yet today the masses follow after miracle workers who give them platitudes instead of much-needed Truth. They hold forth the prospect of prosperity instead of the need to strive in the Will of God even if the path leads through suffering. With enchainment to miracles as the answer to the intrinsic need within them to seek the Truth, these end-time false leaders and prophets force human spirits to remain indolent and spiritually lazy.
Instead of spiritual bread, they offer them stones, and instead of fish, they give them snakes. Instead of leading them to the Will of God and to the Truth that Christ brought and died for, they preoccupy them with material pursuits and welfare. Instead of helping them to keep the lamp of their spirits burning while awaiting the coming of the Son of Man, the Bridegroom, they forcefully and deceptively deprive them of the oil they need to keep their lamp burning.
While these leaders achieve what they want, which often is material wealth and influence over others, and while they build worldly empires and fly around the world in private jets, the poor masses they lead make do with the crumbs that fall off the table. But as John also indicated in the revelation, the responsibility to distinguish and to accept or reject the leading away from God rests with each individual. Rev 13:9 warns – Whoever has ears, let them hear.10 “If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword they will be killed.” This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God’s people. These churches and their crowds of so-called believers do not Know what patient endurance and faithfulness mean and yet they would like to be regarded as God’s people.
In actual fact, all these indolent masses clamoring for miracles, both the leaders and the led, do not even understand what a miracle is. If they did, they would recognize its place in the life of the truly striving human spirit. Most of these people believe that miracles are supernatural events, signs, and wonders that operate outside the Laws of nature. Nothing however can happen outside the Laws of Nature that embody the Will of the Creator or can alter the operation of the Will of God. Miracles, like every other happening in Creation, are subject to the Laws of Creation and so miracles as defined by most of these so-called believers do not actually exist.
True miracles are natural events and happenings swinging in the Will of God, but which happen at unusual speed compared with the course of events generally in the Material spheres because they are imbued with spiritual power or in the case of Christ’s miracles with Divine Power. Thus, any human spirit who opens himself or herself to the spiritual power within can draw from this power and produce works that appear miraculous. Such a human spirit however will not exploit this for any personal gains or advantages. Christ indicated this when He told us that if we truly live in conviction in the Omniscience of God, we can all as individuals, for ourselves without intermediaries, express spiritual power to an extent that we can move any mountain in our lives. He specifically left the fate of each believer in his or her own hands.
It is time for us to start taking responsibility for our own lives. Examine carefully what you believe and what people and events around you are urging you to believe. Past are the eras when you needed to be converted to Christianity or to any form of religion, so why are the churches looking for new converts from other Christian churches? What is now needed is a higher swinging in the knowledge of God or growth and maturity in spiritual lives.
Any organization that cannot offer you spiritual growth cannot meet the needs of the spirit for the present time. No one else will answer for you or stand with you before the judgment seat of God. The Grace of the end time which Christ laboriously prepared for us and for which He gave His life is the promise of the gift of the whole Truth to all the World for the end time. And this promise is now fulfilled and the Truth is now with us. This Truth however stands without the need for preachers, pastors, and so-called men of god. It calls and beckons to all who truly seek God. It does not solicit. It does not bring or represent a new religion. It does not require you to belong to any group or any church but requires only that you make a personal effort to grasp the Truth for yourself.
The bringer of the last Message from God tells us, and I quote – “With my words I lead to God and also to Jesus! However, in a more vital way than has been known in the past, and not as people have trimmed it through their propensity for spiritual comfort.
I point to the fact that God wishes to have spirits in Creation who are alive and conscious of their personal responsibility, such as lies in the Primordial Laws of Creation! That everyone must personally and fully account for everything he thinks, speaks, and does, and that this could not be effaced for mankind by the murder of the Son of God at that time”. end of quote.
There is a path that is broad and easy, that caters to your comfort, that will suppress or take away the challenges of everyday life meant to awaken and keep you spiritually alert in Creation. This broad way leads to perdition and many are they who follow it.
There is the narrow, often difficult path that leads to personal growth and maturity. On this path you are meant to meet and face all the obstacles you have placed in Creation yourselves, to meet and experience all that you have sown wrongly and, in the experiencing, overcome and thereby remove them. On this path, the Grace of God will be with you, for this is the path that leads to life.
Permit me to also end by quoting from the Grail Message – “In order to convey to mankind such knowledge, which gives them a clear and intelligible conviction of the working of God in His Justice and Love, I have written the work “In the Light of Truth”, which leaves no gap, contains the answer to every question, and clearly shows to mankind how wonderful are the ways in Creation that are upheld by many servants of His Will. But God alone is Holy!”
