If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever – the Spirit of Truth (John 14:15-16)
Introduction
As earlier mentioned, humanity has repeatedly been warned about or have intuitively sensed an inevitable end time or end for the ages of man in the Material Spheres. All religious groups recognise a period of accounting at the end of the ages and today the non-aligned and the sciences are beginning to recognise that our world is indeed dying. The end times or the end of the ages is, however, not synonymous with the end of the World.
Every striving human spirit, who has made an effort to absorb and live the word from God’s messengers throughout the past epochs of humanity, knows that the end times are bound up with the activity of an Envoy from God. At this time all religious movements that still have any life await the fulfillment of the coming of this last Envoy of God, but usually only according to the limitations of their dogma. Thus, there are followers of Zoroaster waiting for the Saoshyant (Helper), the Moslems waiting for the Mahdi, and more importantly also awaiting the second coming of Christ. The Jews are still waiting for their Messiah and the Christians for the second coming of Jesus.
Jesus, the Son of God, had repeatedly told His disciples that He is returning to the Father and they will see Him no more (John 16:10, Matt 23:39, Lk 13:35, John13:33). That His Kingdom is not of this world and that He is not the Judge in Creation. Nevertheless, especially when talking about the promise of another incarnation from the Light, He also indicated that we will see Him again. This is not a contradiction.
In concluding the promise of the Spirit of Truth who will come from the Father like Him, He declared that “in a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me” (John 16:14-16). This is often assumed to be referring to His death and resurrection but in the context, this cannot be the case. The first part of this quotation refers to His death and leaving the earth in the ascension to return to the Father after which He will no long be seen on earth in a physical incarnation. The second part refers to a latter manifestation as one with the Spirit of Truth. The last Envoy of God, the Son of Man will manifest first as the bringer of the Truth, the Spirit of Truth before instituting the Judgment as the Son of Man. He will come from the same origin in God as Jesus since they are One in the Trinity and will bring the word as an extension of the Love of God which is Jesus. The Spirit of Truth will extend Christ’s mission of salvation by granting the whole Truth to humanity (John 16:15).
In requesting of the Father that the Son of Man first brings us the Saving Word as the Advocate, the Spirit of Truth, before instituting the Judgment, Jesus the Love of God in Creation has thrown the mantle of His Mission on the Son of Man, and in this we may see a second coming of Jesus. The disciples did not understand Him then and Christendom has not understood Him even today. The Lord went further in John 16:19-28 to explain this important promise, making a clear reference to His physical death and return to the Father as imminent and His coming back when their joy will be complete as a promise for the future, at which time He will then give us all the Truth – “Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father”. (John 16:25)
From these promises of the Son of God, Jesus, we recognize the mission of the Spirit of Truth as a continuation and consolidation of the mission of Christ. In effect, since the Spirit of Truth and the Son of Man are the same, Christ has laid the mantle of His Mission on the Son of Man. The Son of God has conferred the extension of His mission of Salvation on the Son of Man – first, to grant us all the Truth Christ Himself could not give when He was on earth (John 16:12-13) and to remind us of all that Christ told us (John 14:26). In this, we also recognize Christ’s promise that He will be with us always, for the Son of Man is God with us. This is the fulfillment of the sensing and the recognition of many faithful ones that Jesus the savior will come again, but we cannot expect this second coming in the form or activity in which He manifested to humanity earlier.
The Envoy of God coming with the Judgment at the end of the ages is the Son of Man, as Christ Himself repeatedly emphasized; but He also comes with the Word of Truth, the Message of Love that brings Salvation as an extention of Christ’s mission. It is strange that many of the faithful believe against the clear references in the writings of Christ’s disciples and chroniclers, that He is coming to take them away from the earth in the rapture. The forms of faith we have on earth today are no longer in line with the revelations from God over the various human epochs and the teachings of Christ. We are no longer faithful to the word revealed to us. Rather we are preoccupied with human definitions of personal righteousness.
The rejection and crucifixion of the Son of God meant that judgment for the World was now not only inevitable but imminent. Christ’s disciples saw the time of the Lord as the beginning of the end times (1 Peter 1:20, 1 Peter 4:7, 1Corint 10:11), and the Lord, Jesus, himself indicated its imminence. Remember Christ’s lament over Jerusalem. “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord’.” (Matt. 23:37; Luke 13:34).
This prophetic lament was not over Jerusalem, the city in Israel but for Jerusalem used as a symbolic representation of our part of the World of Matter, the earth; a metaphor that is also commonly used in the revelation to John. With Christ’s premature return to the Father, our world is left to us desolate, until the manifestation of the Son of Man, He who comes in the name of the Lord, in whose work of redemption, the word of Truth, we must recognize Christ.
The veil between humanity and their access to Divinity on earth was also torn with the murder of Christ, figuratively increasing the separation between God and humanity. The only hope for redemption now lies in the promise of the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth, and the Truth He will bring. How we as individuals stand at the end time in relation to the Son of Man from Divinity, the incarnate Will of the Creator, will be the final pivot on which our survival as species revolves.
We are not chosen or saved because we claim Jesus to be our personal savior or because we are born into Christianity, but only based on whether our lives are aligned with the Will of God. We are only saved or chosen for salvation based on our volition towards God. Our spiritual goal and direction must be focused above Matter, directed to Spiritual heights. Only on this basis will the last Envoy from God find us worthy to receive the seal of the Father (Rev 7), which gives us the strength to overcome the end-time activity of the Beasts of Satan and protect us from receiving the seal or mark of the Beast (rev 13:16).
Our striving toward God even if weak, and our volition to live according to His Will in Creation, make it possible for us to receive the seal of the Father. The promised Son of Man, who will bring the Judgment, also comes with the seal of His Father, which we must receive for support during the end of the ages. After granting the Message of the Kingdom to humanity, the Son of Man first separates humanity into the true worshippers and the Gentiles (Rev 11:1-2); the viable wheat and the useless weed. The seal of the Father then serves as protection and enablement to those who are still spiritually viable. These will then pass through a period of purification, during which they and the earth are cleansed of all contrariness. They must withstand the challenges from the increased activity of the Beasts and its minions who are also in Judgment during the epoch.
To qualify to recognize the Son of Man when He comes, we must remain vigilant i.e., spiritually alert. We must continue in a movement directed towards God and never be complacent or think to rest on our oars. Remember the parable of the ten virgins. The consequences of immobility even for a brief period will result in downfall. Yet, lack of spiritual mobility is today evident in humanity’s pre-occupation with Matter, right up to the Temples dedicated to God. This is no longer the time to look up to any other human being to guide us, for we have the word. This is no longer the time to look for, depend on, or accept miraculous signs as defining intervention from God because the False prophet comes with miracles (Rev13).
This is no longer the time to remain preoccupied with material things; with wealth, the pleasures of the flesh, the lust for power, for achievement, and recognition by the world, for these are the things that bind us to Matter away from God. Seeking after them is unnecessary because the burden of these end-time distractions is lifted as soon as we strive towards the Kingdom in the knowledge of the Laws of God in Creation granted in the word. Preoccupation with these activities marks the individual with the seal of the end-time Beast.
Today we stand on a sharp edge and carelessness with our spiritual striving will tip us over the precipice. We are permitted to receive the last gift of grace in God’s Love during the period of the purification, only in accordance with the measure of the purity of our striving. We can never achieve purity by our efforts and strength, for purity is Divine (GM). But we can and must achieve faithfulness as the spiritual representation of purity on earth. At the last defining moment, it will be entirely dependent on our free will. Those who choose to go into captivity will go into captivity (Rev 13:).
We must be alert to the activities in these end times that oppose the Will of God, be they ever so subtle. A brief look at the state of the striving of those who claim to serve God and that of human spirits, in general, presents a dismal picture. The striving of human spirits – the religious, the non-aligned, and the unbeliever – is permeated with materialism and a desire for ease. The religious prefer to have a formula that does not require much effort but, which will nevertheless, lead to heaven. They wish to have full comfort on earth and recognition from the systems built and operated outside the Will of God. And there is no lack of those that will lead them in this direction.
We must recognize the activity of the Beasts of Satan. Particularly at this time, humanity is asking about the meaning of the Beasts described in the revelations – the Dragon, the Beast from the Sea, and the Beast from the earth (false Prophet); the meaning of the mark of the Beast, the significance of the scarlet beast and the woman sitting on her, and the three evil spirits that look like frogs. This is an important study that we will commence with the next set of blogs, including a look at our understanding and recognition of Light activities that support us in this epoch. These determine our individual fates, the fate of our world part in Subsequent Creation, and that of the rest of Matter.
It is easily understood that the last Envoy of God, the coming One will be a man amongst men. Like the Son of God Jesus, when the promised One steps onto the earth plane to fulfill His Mission, He must, according to the adamantine Laws of His Father, take on a physical body through the normal process in a mother’s womb, develop as a child, and step forth as a man amongst men. The Grail Message (GM) describes in clear detail, the advent and the work of the Son of Man.
It is left to the individual to relate, according to his or her maturity and striving, to the work of this Envoy from God. Under the influence of the intellect, we probably will not behave any better than we did at the time of Jesus’s mission, for did He not prophesy that the end of the ages will be much like the days of Noah? As with Jesus, this Envoy from God will also be faced with rejection, ridicule, and persecution. Those who are touched by His Message will first ask, Is this not the son of so and so? Has He not grown up amongst us, do we not know his father and mother, etc.? These and other questions will center on His physical person – what is his name, what country did he come from, how did he get his knowledge, how can we know that he comes from God. Will I be misled and lose my salvation? But these are questions we must answer for ourselves!
As with Jesus, the most critical question will also be ‘on whose authority does he say these things?’ Those who claim to know God’s mind will declare that He blasphemes when He says that He comes from God and many will pick up moral and also physical stones to cast.
